Teaming up with the some of the top designers and artists like Arik Levy and Hani Rashid, MGX by Materialise has come up with an excellent collection called Evolution. Use of additive-layered fabrication (ALF) facilitated the conception of designs that coalesced art, nature and technology and take the aesthetics to another level.
What is Additive Layered Fabrication?
Additive Layered Fabrication (ALF) or 3D printing involves a three-dimensional image that is literally “printed” as a 3D object. This allows creation of pieces in one without any joints or moulds, without compromising highest levels of convolution and functionality. Stereolithography is one of the most popular3D printing techniques.
About the Collection:
This collection will be displayed at Moss in New York City until June 27, 2009. It is an exceptional range of lighting objects, furniture, interior goods and accessories.
